PLEIN AIRE painting/drawing

Cancelled due to ice, snow and freezing temperatures until spring.  Possible figure and still life drawing classes on Saturday to come.
Every Saturday, at Virg's Restuarant in Erda weather permitting.  Artists go to locations in Tooele County to paint, draw, photograph or sculpt.  Go early for breakfast or be ready to leave at 8 am, now through October

Looking ahead:  February 1, 2020 the application is due to win the honor of showing our work as the Tooele County Arts Guild at the Rio Gallery in SLC.  Recognition of our creative work is critical to our growth.  The division of Arts and Museums is at

We have been challenged to use the prompt 'Response to...' and then mindfully create your own body of work using your focus. For example, 'Response to Place' may inspire you to do a series involving the Great Salt Lake in all seasons... You could sculpt, paint, photograph, draw, quilt, bead, paint silk, the options are endless!  By next February we hope to have a cohesive collection of work that we can use to apply to the Utah Visual Arts Fellowship opportunity.  Stay tuned for more information.

WINTER MARKET
1st Saturday Community Marketplace is Free to Artists!  Come sell your work at the first artists' market in Tooele. For more info contact Morgan LeGrey.  Or you can come support local Artists and Craftspeople!  Handmade soaps, jewelry, original paintings, drawings, prints, woodcrafts, tiedyed clothing and much, much more.  Come see the marketplace and buy your Valentine a special handmade gift!

June was a very busy month for TCAG.  Congrats to the members who participated in the Tooele Arts Festival and the Plein Aire Contest held during the festival.

2019 Spring Art Fair at the
Coulter House Event Center Tuesday, April 23rd, 3-8pm

Bring your Boots! 

Live music by EXIT 99 from 6-8 pm!

TCAG artists will be at the Coulter House to answer questions, show you their art and do hands on projects! 
Demos include Acrylic Pour, Cartooning, Oil Painting and Silk Painting, all starting at 3 pm.
